She buttoned her shirt and zipped up her school uniform, hands shaking, body numb, heart racing, mute, he turned away and said, “Hurry up before your mother comes home,”- her reality was this, has been this for as long as she can remember, her reality has been a nightmare from which she has been unable to awake ; he was her nightmare, he was their hero, his fingerprints were imprinted on her, in her, and nobody would believe this recollection of her her memory and lived experiences – stranger danger was a myth, his danger had worn off over the years ; her only danger was the stranger she became to herself.
