Friendship

Last night I found myself slipping

Slipping away from who I was, who I portrayed myself to be

I became vulnerable beyond measure

I became my own worst enemy

And my friends were there to pick me up, literally

My friends wiped my tears

They carried me

Picked me up

They lifted my spirits

They saw a side of me

A side of me I didn’t want them to see

A side of me I didn’t want to see

They allowed me to be myself

This friendship has become more of a family
